SUSAN WHITE (1941)

Studied from 1959 to 1961, among other places, at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. She has represented her country in exhibitions in, among other countries, Germany, Formosa, France, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Yugoslavia, Norway, Poland and Spain. This is her first solo exhibition in our country.

Paintings, including a panel measuring 130 × 250 cm, The First Supper — thirteen women at a table —, a wealth of graphic works in artist’s own prints, lithographs and woodcuts, as well as a selection of sculptures in bronze, sandstone and wood. Her view of people and situations is strikingly direct and marked by a renewing realism.
