Dry creek bed, Broken Hill

This small painting is a glimpse of the essence of the outback. The bright green colour of the bushes, a rare sight in the desert, caught my eye. The regrowth after recent rain is in stark contrast to the die-back on the bare branches, caused by a long period of drought. This painting was reproduced as a Christmas card by a charity to raise funds for disadvantaged children.
