Artist's Statement: Inspired by my son Stephen at age 9 when he was reading The Magic Pudding, a classic children’s story by the Australian artist Norman Lindsay. Stephen’s imagination is stimulated by the story of a cantankerous pudding, a “cut-an'-come-again Puddin'” that wants to be eaten so it can keep coming back as different flavours. The composition revolves around five varied viewpoints of the child, with pages turning as the story progresses: "It's a cut-an'-come-again Puddin'," said Sam
