The 4th Seoul International Print Biennale was held at the National Museum of Modern Art, Seoul, from 27 July to 15 August 1983, co-sponsored by Dong-A Ilbo and the museum. Established in 1970, the Seoul International Print Biennale developed into an important forum for international contemporary printmaking. The 1983 exhibition brought together artists from 24 countries and presented printmaking as an increasingly diverse field embracing both established and developing techniques. The catalogue described the exhibition as demonstrating current trends while illustrating the continuing development of printmaking processes.
